Want to have a healthy dog? Then you need to know these dog nutrition secrets.
This is Nikki, my American Eskimo. He was active, healthy, happy and fun-loving all of his 16-1/2 years. I felt lucky that he lived so long. I wasn't nearly so lucky with my next dog, Cindy. Read on to find out why... and how what happened to her can happen to your dog.
Do you know that your dog could be
facing a nutrition-related disease
that can shorten his or her life?
At this moment, your dog could be developing any one of these life-threatening illnesses because of nutrition issues:
-
Kidney Problems from Dangerous Chemicals
-
Bladder Problems from Toxic Build-up
-
Diabetes from Improper Nutrition
-
Cancer...or some other nutrition-related disease
Right now, your dog could be developing an illness that can be linked directly to the food you're feeding him. Will you continue not knowing? Will your dog have to suffer with a serious illness, like mine did?
By the way, my dog died well before her time because I was in the dark about the food choices I made for her. I was unaware that those seemingly innocent choices were contributing to her rapidly declining health.
Nikki appeared perfectly healthy 6 months before he died suddenly of kidney failure. I now know that his dog food could have been to blame. We could have enjoyed several more years together if I'd known about the dangers lurking in certain dog foods.
It never occurred to me that the store-bought food was not healthy for my dog. I didn't know that Cindy's cancer could well have been caused by the nutritional deficiencies and unhealthy ingredients in her food.
Now I know better, and I want to share with you everything I've learned that can help you and your dog avoid the suffering and early death that we endured.
Do you know that one of the
leading causes of death in older dogs is Cancer?
In fact, it is just one of the diseases that can
take many years off your dog's life.
It happened to my dog, a healthy and active lab/chow
who developed cancer at age 7. She was dead at 10.
But this doesn't have to happen to your pet.
"Discover The Nutrition Secrets
That Will Keep Your Dog Healthy and Disease Free For A Lifetime... and
Add Years To Your Time Together"
How to prevent disease, maintain your dog's energy and vitality,
ensure he or she lives a long and healthy life.
Do you realize...?
Right this moment, your dog could be developing the first symptoms of a devastating illness caused by the toxic ingredients in the dog food you're feeding him. You can ignore this fact and watch our dog suffer and die well before his or her time
OR...
You can take action now to ensure your dog lives a long and healthy life that you can share together for many years to come. The choice is yours. You can make a difference. And it's quite easy to do.
"I've just finished reading your Healthy Dog Nutrition Secrets book and I had to write and say thank you. I have a German Shepherd and I love him so much, I always want him to stay healthy and well so he'll have the longest life he can have without being plagued with skin problems or illnesses. It is so hard to find relevant nutritional advice for dogs or to interpret the mumbo jumbo on can labels. Every dog owner has different ideas about what is good for him and what isn't. It was just so good to read some non biased information and to get clear about things, and I learned heaps, for example I didn't know chocolate was poisonous for dogs!"
All the best and thanks for all the good info,

Your dog is at risk of developing any one of these
life-threatening illnesses caused by improper nutrition:
-
Arthritis: attributable to a build up of artificial calcium deposits in the dog's body
-
Cancer: one of the leading causes of dog death each year.
-
Bladder problems: caused by a build-up of toxicity from certain dog food ingredients and chemical additives.
-
Diabetes: directly related to sugar in pet foods
-
Kidney problems: from ingesting artificial phosphorus and proteins (gluten) in commercial dog food
-
Liver problems: caused as the liver struggles to detoxify the dog's body of the artificial chemicals, drugged or contaminated meats and other undesirable ingredients in poor quality dog food.
-
Obesity: directly related to sugar and carbohydrate levels that are in store-bought dog foods
BUT... There is something you can do! Right now!
Read on to discover what you can do to prevent your dog from developing these horrible diseases, and how you can lengthen his or her life.
From the Desk of: Sylvia Dickens
Friday January 25, 2008
Dear Fellow Dog Lover,
Watching a healthy, vibrant dog quickly deteriorate and die is devastating for any dog owner. It's painful for the dog and for you. You wonder what happened, why your beloved dog got so ill at such a young age. And you'll probably ask yourself if there was anything you could have done to prevent it.
If you've had dogs for as long as I have, you will know how cherished your time is together. You'll do anything necessary to ensure your relationship lasts as long as it possibly can. I've created a product that provides the information that will help you achieve that goal.
But before I tell you about it, there's something else I want to share with you.
My name is Sylvia Dickens and recently, I stumbled across some information on how to ensure my dogs get the absolute best care possible. Unfortunately, this advice came too late for my dog. That's why I want to share my findings with you, so you don't have to go through the suffering that my dog and I did.
My experience might be familiar to you.
You see, not long ago I lost my dog, Cindy, to cancer. When we got the diagnosis, I immediately instructed the vet to do the necessary surgery to remove the growth. Hopefully, this would extend her life. She was only 8 years old at the time.
The surgery was massive and it did give us a few more years together, but when her final day came 2 years later, the cancer had spread to her heart. There was no hope left.
I was devastated. And I wanted answers. How could such a vibrant, fun loving and energetic dog suddenly develop cancer and die?
Then I heard about the dog food recalls. Every week, there were more reports of dogs dying because of certain ingredients in their food.
This led me to dig a little deeper. The results were shocking! I discovered that manufactured dog food can cause devastating illness in dogs, including cancer, heart disease and diabetes. The news spread fast. The growing alarm among dog owners was hard to ignore...
Their pets were dying from poisoning and toxins caused by store-bought dog food. The recalls seemed never to stop while reports of dogs dying continued. Those that didn't die ended up with serious health conditions.
Was the dog food to blame?
As a dog owner, I became extremely worried that my dogs might have been seriously affected by the food I was giving them. I couldn't help looking back on the three dogs I'd lost to kidney failure and cancer. And I couldn't help asking myself, "Did I cause their deaths by the food choices I made for them?"
After doing more research into the matter, I learned a lot more about dog nutrition. I now know how important it is to read labels and to understand exactly what they mean. Before then, I had no idea what all those ingredients were, but I was sure the dog food companies wouldn't harm my dog. I was convinced they only wanted the best for my dog.
Looks like I was wrong, like a great number of other dog owners who put their trust in the dog food manufacturers.
Now I'm much more aware of what constitutes good, nutritious dog food. I also know what foods are dangerous to my dog's health. Some of them surprised me because they sound so "safe". It's hard to believe they can seriously affect my dog's health.
Introducing…
"Healthy Dog Nutrition Secrets Toolkit –
All The Facts You Need To Know About Dog Nutrition"

Discover exactly what you need to do to ensure your dog gets only the best diet possible. The package I've created will give you the tools that will help you make a significant difference in how long - and how healthy... your dog stays.
I know it sounds too good to be true, but simply by knowing about proper nutrition you can extend your dog's life and improve his or her health. The decisions you make today can seriously affect your dog's overall health, happiness and life expectancy.
Every word in this book contains crucial information for every dog owner who wants their pets to get the absolute best quality of life for as long as possible.
Imagine...
-
an energetic pet who's always ready to share precious time with you
-
a 15-year-old dog that still thinks it's a puppy - as mine did.
-
an older dog that insists he still wants to take that long walk with you
-
saving money on expensive vet bills
-
having less stress - both you and your dog - because he's healthy and fit
-
sharing additional years with your dog - perhaps as many as 5 or more years.
It's all possible if you ensure your dog gets the absolute best nutrition throughout his life. And my toolkit can help you do that.
You'll learn the ins and outs of dog nutrition in simple, easy to understand language, including details about the recent manufactured dog foods that caused dogs to become seriously ill and, in some cases, die.
Here's what you'll discover in the
"Healthy Dog Nutrition Secrets Toolkit"
Here's a very small taste of what's inside the book:
Chapter 1 – Why Your Dog's Diet Is Important
...Dogs are mammals, just like us. If we eat too much and don’t exercise enough we are going to get fat. So it is with our dogs. If we eat food that is not good for us, we tend to feel lethargic and unmotivated afterwards. For us, unhealthy eating can cause a whole slew of problems from heart disease to diabetes. Poor nutrition can make our skin look unhealthy and our hair dull and brittle.
Dogs are no different. If they eat too much of the wrong food and don’t get enough exercise they become overweight. If they eat food that is not good for them, they can become lazy. What they eat can affect their coat and their skin. Did you know that dogs can get most of the same diseases we do? They can get cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid condition, diabetes and intestinal disorders. They can have strokes and heart attacks just like we can.
This is why it's so important to understand why your dog’s diet is so important. Just like with us, dogs are what they eat. Unfortunately, a dog can't tell you when something doesn't feel right, or when they have an upset stomach from the food they ate. Most of us watch what we eat because of the health benefits that come with the effort, yet we don't always give our dogs the same consideration...
Chapter 2 – Understanding Dog Food Ingredients
...Understanding the ingredients of your dog's food items is a must for dog lovers and dog owners. Whenever you feed your dog with different kinds of food items, you should always read the label and understand the contents about the dog feed types that are being used in such commercial preparations. Knowing what to look for will help you make better dog food choices, choices that will help your dog to stay healthy.
There are basically 3 types of dog food: soft, dry and fresh food. Dry and soft dog food are manufactured by the dog food industry.
Soft dog food comes in cans and usually consists of meat or meat by-products, vegetables and a gravy mixture.
Dry dog food is a formula that has a solid nature and consists of wheat, corn meal, soybean meal, rice and meat by-products, chicken by-products as well as preservatives and vitamin and mineral supplements (such as vitamin E, vitamin B-12, Vitamin D, zinc, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, calcium and others). The list depends on the particular type of dry dog food you purchase...
Chapter 3 – Vitamin & Mineral Supplements
... Vitamin and mineral supplements are the most important components in your dog’s feed regimen. A balance in the vitamin and mineral supplements will contribute to your dog living a healthy life. His immune system will not compromised and he will be more resistance against various diseases.
Pet owners should know that vitamins A, D, E, and K are the fat-soluble vitamins and others are water-soluble vitamins. Vitamins like thiamine, pyridoxine and cyanocobalamin are important for nervous system functions. A deficiency of vitamin A can lead to night blindness and skin lesions. A deficiency of vitamin D leads to the softening and weakening of the bones...
Chapter 4 – Does My Dog Need Vitamin Supplements?
...Yes, simply because it's the only way you can be absolutely certain she is getting enough of the right vitamins and minerals to grow and remain healthy. Besides, dogs have different nutritional requirements that are not necessarily available in all dog food. Usually you will get extra vitamins for your puppy on her first visit to the vet.
There are many reasons to continue to give your dog vitamins. Whether she is on manufactured food, home made food or the raw food diet, it's quite possible she won't get the recommended daily dose of vitamins and minerals. Older dogs especially need vitamin supplements because they are not eating as much food as they used to and could be lacking certain nutrients...
Chapter 8 – What Food Is Best For My Dog?
...Once your pup reaches about a year you should start to switch from the puppy chow into the adult food. There are three types of dog food from which to choose: dry, semi-moist and canned.
Dry Foods
Dry foods are usually the more popular choice. The production process is lengthy, beginning with raw materials such as grain, meat and fat. These are ground down to release the nutrients and to mix the ingredients.
Next is a process called extrusion which is done with an extruder. An extruder is a machine that looks like a screw inside a barrel. The food cooks as it passes through the threads of the screw and comes in contact with the heated barrel. This process also kills microorganisms. By changing the screw's turning speed, manufacturers can change the character of the food.
The end result is a spongy dough which is then forced through a die at high temperature and pressure so as to create the kibble shapes. The new kibbles go into a dryer where the moisture is removed. The last step is called enrobing and it is the addition of either liquids or powders to the outer layer of the kibble. This is where the fat and flavor enhancements are added...

Believe that the nutritional advice in this toolkit
will help extend your dog's life.
I understand your skepticism. It's hard to imagine that you can determine how long your dog lives simply by changing how you feed your dog. You've probably heard those claims made by other authors who have experienced unbelievable suffering when their dogs died young. They believe the dog food manufacturers were to blame. Sometimes, their comments might sound a little over the top. It's natural to think they are exaggerating and striking out because of their grief.
The truth is, their dogs might have suffered from other nutrition related problems not directly related to the manufactured food. Or it could have been an inherited condition due simply to genetics.
It's also true that the food they were fed quite likely did contribute to their dogs' untimely deaths, either because of dangerous chemicals that poisoned them, or because of inferior ingredients that lacked proper nutrients.
The thing is, the facts are out there. Certain ingredients and toxins in some manufactured foods can cause your dog to develop serious illnesses that shorten his or her life.
Are you willing to take the risk? Or do you want to find out what you might be doing wrong and how to fix it now, before any harm is done to your pet, if it hasn't happened already?
